Please arrive 10 minutes before your departure time. You will have a two hour window to hike and can choose either of our trails to hike.
1. Hike to the Iconic Two Trees - (Intermediate - advanced trail)
Due to the nature of the terrain the hikes can be considered moderately difficult and out-and-back up and down steep slopes. The distance from Barlow Canyon to Two trees is approximately 1.5 miles with an elevation gain of 716 feet over the course of the hike for an out and back trip of around 3 miles. Average hike times take between an hour to an hour and a half.
2. Hike to the beautiful Restoration Area - (Beginner, flat trail for all hiking abilities and ages)
This is a 4 mile roundtrip hike back into Barlow Canyon. This flat trail will lead around the hills and to our beautiful Restoration Site where we have planted Oak and Sycamore Trees. Average hike times take between a hour and a half to two hours.
If you have never done either of these hikes before, we are so excited to have you out to share the beauty, tranquility, and fresh air the hillsides provide. Please be sure to read the information below which gives important information about the hike.
Guests will meet at the Entrance to Barlow Canyon off Foothill Road - 3999 Foothill Road.
We ask all attending to:
- Wear proper attire for the weather on the given day.
- Apply sunscreen.
- Wear appropriate footwear. No flip flops please.
- Pace themselves during the duration of the hike according to their ability.
